Adelaide

We spent the first day looking around Adelaide - shops, museum, art gallery etc.
Next day I spent shopping for food and Xmas presents.
Next two days were different beawches and fishing.
Next day was more swimming with dolphins - when we actually did it, but the whole experience was not at all as I imagined.
Then the next day was camping out in the bush on the Koorang - with a million flies or 6 million, and a thunderstorm. But it was very deserted! We saw some seals and an emu, and caught 8 fish!!
It's still really windy all the time..

Will try and get to the library to download some more images soon...

The rest of Sydney

So, on the Fri night we went to the zoo for roar and snore, then on Sunday we had our surf lesson on Manly beach. It was a beautiful place. If we ever some back we'll stay in Manly and visit Sydney..next day was a very windy and wavy Bondi, then the 3D IMaX movie theatre before flying to Adelaide.

Sydney - Roar and snore

Bit rushed with a 30 minute slot today. The zoo was great - even though it pissed down.
Looks like Oxford St Sydney where we at tea is a gay place..the Thai food was great even for the kids!

Auckland and the volcanoes

We arrived safe and sound (but very tired) after 44 hours travelling time (then I got a 200 dollar fine because I forgot 2 satsumas that I'd packed at 0300hrs 44hrs previously...daylight robbery...).
Pam and Ian met us at the airport and then we spent the day around Waiuku where our friend John Rob and his family live. We went to Karioitahi beach in the rain to try and stay awake, this beach has black sand and it was a nice start to the holiday! We helped a fisherman to pull in his line which
We collapsed at 2000hrs.
Next day was still wet so we went to Auckland museum, then in sun and wind went up One Tree Hill for an amazing view of Auckland. Then we met Pam and Ian and all the relatives in a restaurant - by the time Beinns meal arrived he was asleep, but he was so hungry he kept waking up for a bite then he'd doze while he was chewing...after that we went back to Robyns house and Beinn was back in fully switched on mode. Samuel kept awake, he was just quick to tears..
On wednesday we drove down to Tongariro via the Waitomo glow worm caves - that was a disapointment - but we did see some glow worms. We did a little walk up to a lookout point then sat down for a drink by the car. I noticed some metal wire sticking out of the tyre which turned out to be a totally knackered.
Wayne put on the joke spare and we drove to a garage for repair.
Next day we did the Tongariro Crossing - hailed as the best day walk in NZ. It was a very good 6 hour walk over numerous volcanic craters.
Now today (Friday) it's another grey rainy day, so the kids are doing as much homework as possible.
